Some bad wire connections
Well yeah, i had the bike running the other night and noticed smoke coming from under the seat, took all the fairing off to get at it and found this....
Basically the connections one of side of it were shit, i think they were all touching and because of that it was heating up and has melted all the plastic cover..... glad i found it when i did, who knows what could of happened. It was getting really quite hot.



& a pic i took of the bike tonight seeing as i have it to hand lol...

that plug wouldnt be anything to do with the reg/rectifier would it?

Have you tried using heat shrink tubing or other high temp resistant tape to separate the connections?
It does look like you're going to fry something if you don't insulate it properly - or at least short the rectifier.
Did you get it this way, or is this one of your recent modifications?

i got it like this, iv took that plug compleatly off it now, used some new wire connectors and wrapped them in a shit load of tape, then wrapped them in a load of tape again together lol.
