Help :( im confuzzzeddd

Post by Will-Radford on Sat Oct 31, 2009 2:32 pm

Ive just copied what i said from AF1, see if anyone on here knows whats going on

I dont usually make threads asking help doing things but i am really stumped so here it goes

Ive put all my bike back together after freshening up the front end, alwell as put on new chain and sprockets
I changed to 13/47, my old set were 14/47

Before i touched this my bike read 50mph on the speedo as max i could get
I have changed the sprockets and chain and it still does 50mph, on the dot

I iwas expecting the accelleration to be better and top end to be worse but its exactly the same speed

On here people say they can get over 50mph on standard set up, ie exhaust, and 13/47 sprockets

Now my question is why the fekkk can i only get 50mph with this sprocket set up and a performance pipe?

Completley confuzzled, Will

Okay did you have a big shit before riding with 14/47?

Are you constipated?

Have you been eating to many Maccy D's in the last few hours?

That isnt actually too bad a point, might be that the people claiming higher speeds are a lot lighter lol.

Hmmm.

Dan's asked all the pertinent questions that sprung to my mind.

Except, from my perspective, if you're into big MacD's regular, then there's no hope!! lol!

Well, fuel grade; operating temperature; road incline and wind speed may all slow you down if you're critically looking for that +/- 5mph difference.

I can't imagine what riding at 50mph tops is like. I think I'd slit my wrists Sad

....and you haven't changed your tyres, have you?

Different diameters will give false speedo readings too.

Actually, thinking about it - is your speedo definitely accurate, and not like, stuck on at 50mph?!

Further insights?

Or have you lost enough weight now to make it go faster and get that 1 piece on too Smile

No i fucking dont haha, getting there with the leathers

Only had 50 so far as i was running it in but i got my bike impounded by the police for having it re rezzed so it cost me £160 to get it back, £60 fine and 3 points

So my bike is now all standard with restricted standard exhaust, 30mph max ftl
