I got an insurance quote today for the 400 ~ £530, or £570 if I pay monthly. It comes out at £52 a month. The money I'd save in fuel in a month would nearly pay for bike insurance. I have around £700 to pay back to my parents, neither are desperate for the money, so I can pay it off when I get money into my account. My bike could do with new chain & sprockets and a new front tyre which isn't so bad.
