WOOOOO :D .....

Been after a job for a while now. My mate just rang me and said that they've just given him the ok that they want me to work

Its nothing big as I'll still be in school, so it will be an after school / weekend thing.

I'm working in the local castle. Not to sure what I'll be doing yet, I'm going up to see them with him tomorrow after school.

MONEY Hopefully now I may well be able to afford a bike in a few months.

I think its kitchen related No customers to piss me off there then.

I know a fair few people who work there, another mate of mine dresses up like one of the knights mentioned and as to fight another with a sword ~ entertaining guests he says....

One year, I worked in central London doing kitchen work. The boss was one mean lady and tried to wipe the smile from my face every morning. It didn't bother me much. After a few months, she cracked and started behaving nice to me seeing that nothing fazed me lol.

Now sword-fighting lol. That must be fun with all the tourists. Hope your mate didn't accidentally finish any of them off

I don't mind the work, I've been to meet some of the staff. Fit waitresses there First thing one of the chefs said was 'Yes! Another one to take the piss out of!'

Yep, I know the type Morgan, you get them people everywhere, theres always one that has to walk around with a face like a slapped arse. I've been warned about a few people that work in the castle that I need to watch out for

Gratz on your new job Dan! Is it an English Heritage site? I worked in a castle for 8 years. Now I've gone back further in time to the Roman period. I even got married at the castle in medieval dress. It was wicked!

lol, here's a pic of all the guests who turned up in costume. Hubby is the tallest knight in the center and I'm next to him in the copper coloured dress. The room we are in dates to about 1450 (the window at the back was a later alteration so its not medieval style).

You must've been really chuffed. Perfect location; and just the right number of guests too. The guy wearing tights and the mandolin looks hilarious. The ladies outfits look miles better

It was the most fantastic day.

The guy wearing tights is a brilliant bluegrass musician friend of ours who won Guitarist of the Year award for a guitar rendition of Entrance of the Queen of Sheba. I loved the way most of our guests got really into the whole costume thing. My uncle was friar tuck, lol!

I get fed up of going to weddings wearing poncey long tails and a top hat. It's the most boring kind of attire you could imagine. It says nothing about the guests (hmmm..maybe it says something about the couples we know getting married ). A medieval wedding in Wales is just sooo cool

Lissee - I'd been lurking on Bike Girl for some time. I'd got a bit sick of the macho BS on 125ccSportsbikeForum so I felt I needed to offset it with something nice and girlie. I'm hoping to meet up with GadgetGran once she passes her test. She always cracks me up and she's not too far away.

Will ~ I'm not looking for a profession I'm just looking for money to pay for bike insurance ASAP!
